About Us

All funds raised will benefit Alaska patients by providing critical support for our centers, mobiles and expansion of laboratory services. Blood donation is a critical part of the healthcare system and emergency response plan.  We are honored to be a life-saving part of communities across the state. As the only blood bank located in Alaska, our donors provide a vital component for patients in need.

Blood Bank of Alaska (BBA) is an independent non-profit organization that is dedicated to providing safe, pure and potent blood and blood products to communities in Alaska. Since 1962 we have served hospitals and patients across the state and continue to provide support as part of the State’s emergency response plan. All donated items are tax deductible.  As a qualified 501(c)(3) non-profit organization (EIN # 92-6002175) we rely on donations from organizations in Alaska to provide services to the hospitals we serve.
